FresYes Insider - Happy Labor Day Weekend

Happy Saturday and Happy Labor Day weekend! The name hints at the meaning but I thought I would look up what Labor Day is all about and how it came to pass.  Here is what Wikipedia has to say, "Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday in September in any given year to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States."  Fair enough, however, it's also the unofficial end of summer. When many get out of town and head to the beach or some other vacation destination one last time before the Fall and Winter seasons.  Are you staying in town or hitting the road?  I'm going to visit my little girl down in Southern California at college. I'm excited to meet her roommate and take them to dinner.  Maybe I'll hit the beach right quick before I head back to Fresno.   For those of you that normally head to one of our great National Forest, I'm sorry your plans were altered by so many forest fires. It's truly a devastating thing going on right now.  In my Hot & Happening newsletter, I suggested an alternative - not the same but hey a cold beer does sound good.  Check out some of my favorite local breweries. Amalgamation Brewing Co.Tioga Sequoia BrewingCrow & Wolf BrewingTap & Cellar Full Circle Brewing Co.MachineHead Brewing Co
