Hot & Happening

What's Hot & Happening this Weekend?

By FresYes Writing Team

Exploring other cultures, even if they’re not your own, is like adding a dash of spice to your life’s recipe – it makes everything more flavorful! Seriously, who wants to eat the same dish every day or watch the same movie on repeat?

By diving into different cultures, you get to expand your horizons, try new foods (some of which might become your new obsession), and pick up a few phrases that will make you sound incredibly worldly at parties. Plus, you’ll discover that the world is full of fascinating people with unique traditions and stories. So, why limit yourself to just one culture when you can have a multicultural buffet of experiences? Embrace the diversity, and you’ll find that life becomes a lot more interesting and entertaining!

This week we’re lucky enough to host the Fresno Geek Fest, the Scottish Gathering and Games and even a few Oktoberfests are starting to pop up!

The Fresno Greek Fest!

OPA! It’s time for the 61st annual Fresno Greek Fest! If you have never been, you are in for a really φοβερο treat! If you’ve been before we would love to know what you love the best! For us it’s the immersion into all things Mediterranean. It might be the only time of the year we get to taste food like Moussaka, Spanakopita, or Souvlaki. There’s just so much to love!

We’re there for the music and dancing too, not to mention the heritage dress that so many people are wearing. They say nothing about Cosplay but if it was up to us, we’d walk around with a bottle of Windex and just see if anyone noticed. Is that too obscure? Need a hint?

And don’t forget to tag #FresYes in your IG when you go!
