Speaking of shedding, the real estate market too, witnesses its ebbs and flows. Wednesday’s announcement from the Fed, holding the interest rates steady, was a brief respite. For our first-time homebuyers, the market dynamics might seem like a roller-coaster ride. With mortgage rates hovering above 7% for over six weeks, and a potential peak of 8% on the horizon, securing a dream home can feel like a daunting quest. The August numbers painted a mixed bag - with the number of home sales dipping to 370 (compared to 506 back in August of last year).
