What's Hot & Happening

How is it that we are halfway through this year? It’s July 3rd how? I know it’s a bit cliche to say where has the time gone but wow this year is really moving fast. I’ve spent a few hours each night for the last few nights reflecting on what I’ve accomplished (or fell short of accomplishing) so far this year. I’m setting goals and adjusting my schedule accordingly. Have you ever overestimated what you can do in a short period of time, and under-estimated what you could do over a long period of time? I have; Enough that I’ve re-thought how I approach my time and the goals I set. You see, most people expect to make massive progress in a short period of time and then become complacent with any small gains they've made over a long period of time. This is completely backward then how it should be. An investment in time alone will not provide only the smallest of payouts. But if you can keep grinding, keep putting in the work, stacking small wins on top of small wins, the efforts will compound and the payout will be huge. Most people aren’t patient enough to continue putting in the work when the immediate gains aren’t everything they wanted. I'm writing to you today to encourage you to not be the person that quits in just a short amount of time. Instead be the person who stays the course and continues to pound at your goals day in and day out. First half of the year be damned! Be courageous enough to continue to do the work and make your dreams come true. - Jason Farris
