What's Hot & Happening

So long July! We have officially entered The Dog Days of Summer. We are all well aware that August in Fresno is a bit ruff (see what I did there). But don't worry we are here and we are armed with a list of Weekend Events to help you get outside and enjoy your weekend - just make sure you bring lots of water. Don't forget to check with the venues ahead of time and to follow all rules designated by the establishments. Have a paws-itively wonderful weekend!

Last week we gave props to the many locally-owned restaurants that have shifted how they do business by accommodating outdoor dining only. Check out that full list HERE. This week, we thought we'd share the many ways our cherished Fresno Chaffee Zoo has creatively adjusted to the current restrictions they are facing. Read on!

  • Early-Bird Tours: Beat the heat and enjoy the Zoo for a private tour. Route, themes, and topics will change throughout the season, so you can book multiple tours! $30.00pp plus admission to the Zoo. Click above for more info.

  • Virtual Zoo Camp: Zoo camp is going virtual! Campers ages 5-11 can join zookeepers for daily live visits to the Zoo, animal meet-and-greets, crafts and nature discoveries. Registration in advance is required. $40.00 per household, per week. Click above for more info.

  • Evenings on the Savannah: Enjoy outdoor dining with a view. Extended hours every Friday and Saturday in August. Follow the Zoo on social media for more information on themes, specials, live music and other updates on each night.

If a visit is not in your future, you can still support the Zoo by donating, adopting an animal, or sponsoring an event. Click the photo above for more info on how to donate.
